Fagor Industrial inaugurates a new Showroom and demonstration area in its Oñati headquarters

Fagor Industrial, leading Spanish company providing comprehensive solutions for the hotel, restaurant and laundry sectors, presented its new interactive space today, a Showroom and demonstration area in its Miguelena facilities, next to the company's corporate headquarters in Oñati (Guipúzcoa). The space has a total surface area of 625 square meters and required an investment of 650,000 Euros.

Both the Showroom and the demonstration area were designed to become the perfect places for visitors to become familiar with Fagor Industrial's latest products and take part in practical sessions and events that are part of Fagor's Cooking Experience, including spectacular presentations.

Full interactivity and live demonstrations

The facilities are divided into two main areas: the Showroom, where visitors can see the latest models offered by Fagor Industrial, including cooking units, dishwashers, ovens, industrial laundry equipment and industrial cold equipment- each with its own space, within an area decorated in a minimalist style designed to make the products stand out, while making it easier for visitors to walk through the facility and view the different products and their features. With a surface area of 400 square meters, the new Showroom can house up to 160 different product references, 30 of which are always functioning, and another 30 can be connected manually.

The new demonstration area is a 100-square-meter space and includes a kitchen and an auditorium. With capacity for 32 people, it is the facility's main element and can be used for all types of events apart from cooking demonstrations. The auditorium is equipped with the latest and most innovative products including a Symphony kitchen (custom-made), cooktop with induction burners, along with grills, burners, deep-fryer and bain marie, as well as Visual Plus mixed ovens -Fagor Industrial's most advanced range-, blast chiller, salamander and refrigeration unit with different sections.

The demonstration kitchen and auditorium also include special audiovisual equipment so the audience can follow the cooking demonstrations in detail, thanks to the screens installed throughout the room. The Symphony cooking unit can be removed and transferred to the storage area, located next to the new space when it is not needed, increasing the room's multipurpose possibilities; it can be easily transformed into a conference room or area for a wide variety of events.

The investment required for this new facility was 650,000 Euros and the construction work was completed between the 10th of January and the 1st of June, 2011. "At Fagor Industrial, we have been committed to dynamic and participative strategies for many years, as a basic part of our sales policy. These strategies are particularly important in the restaurant and hotel sectors, because they allow clients to see our products in action, and experience their innovations and capabilities first hand," stated Kepa Bedialauneta, General Director of Fagor Industrial. "In these spaces, we offer the results of our R&D team's work, transformed into practical and competitive solutions for the sector."

Guggenheim Museum

The inauguration of the Showroom and auditorium also coincided with the opening of Nerua, Josean Martínez Alija's new restaurant in the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, designed and equipped by Fagor Industrial. This was one of the company's largest and most important projects, both in terms of the establishment's culinary category and its unique requirements with regards to design and functionality. A large number of kitchen elements were custom-made to meet the client's demands.

"These are two events that bring Fagor Industrial to the forefront of current events in a place that is very special for us, the company's home region. But at the same time, these events serve to demonstrate our capacity to create innovative, technological equipment and design large-scale projects, adapting the most advanced solutions to the needs of any client, " stated Kepa Bedialauneta.
