Fagor Industrial ratifies its quality, safety and environmental management commitment with AENOR certification

Oñati, Guipúzcoa, 11th May 2010-. Fagor Industrial, Spain's leading company in all-round solutions for the restaurant, catering and laundry sector, has reaffirmed its commitment to quality, safety and environmental protection after the audit performed by the Spanish Association of Standards and Certification (AENOR), which has guaranteed the company will continue to hold its ISO 9001:2008 Quality certificate, its OHSAS 18001:2004 Health and Safety certificate and its ISO 14001:2004 Environmental certificate until May 2011.

Fagor Industrial was one of Spain's pioneer companies in focusing its manufacturing criteria on fulfilling these highly prestigious international standards. In 1991 it received the Quality Management System certification, and has since renewed it every three years. In 2006 it was awarded the Environmental Management System certification, obtaining the Occupational Health and Safety certification the following year. Its management systems also comply with the guidelines of the Fagor Industrial Management Model, defined and implemented according to the Business Excellence Model (EFQM), which obtained the "Gold Q" Award from the external entity Euskalit in 2004.

"We are very pleased to have fulfilled the AENOR requirements once again, maintaining our certificates in these three areas", Luis Miguel Calderón Quality Manager of Fagor Industrial, declared. "Satisfied, but not surprised, as quality, safety and environmental protection have been the cornerstones of Fagor Industrial's work for a long time now. But this renewal will naturally be a solid basis for continuing our work, and an incentive that shows our high level of personal exigency".
