Frequently Asked Questions

What is the role of trade unions in the Cooperatives?

In our Cooperatives there can be partners individually adhered to a given trade union, but there is no organized trade union representation due to the fact that being workers and owners at the same time, the historical role developed by unions in conventional companies has no reason for existence in a Cooperative.

Some of the typical functions of trade unions, such as those linked to the social policy of the company, the supervision of working conditions, the information to the group of workers, etc. are covered at the Cooperatives by the Social Council, an internal body democratically elected at the General Council.
