Sustainable Development
We have already indicated in the quality section that we have achieved the environmental certificate ISO 14001 in May 2006.
To obtain such certification, Fagor Industrial developed a Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste Management Plan and a plan to reduce their generation. Also, a selective pick-up was organized, as well as their further processing by authorized managers. An investment in facilities for the appropriate processing and control of emission to the atmosphere and environmental noise, and investment in the processing of water spill and consumption reduction.
Furthermore, the implementation of a Sustainable Development Culture involves the correct use of the different energy sources (gas and electricity) in our products and facilities, and the creation of an integrated manual for environmental management, along with our quality, safety and health systems at the workplace. Last, but not least, the correct application of the corresponding current legislation and legal directives.
